Claire P in Seville
An hour and a half’s flight today to Seville took us 8 hours door to door! 7am - 3pm! The captain announced mid-flight that there was heavy fog in Seville and if it didn’t improve we’d have to divert to Jerez, then take a 45’ bus journey to Seville airport. We'd chosen an early-ish flight with the plan of my doing essential preparation work for the next day’s assessment (the reason for this visit) in the afternoon so I was crossing everything! However it wasn’t to be. The pilot tried his best to land, but had to change his mind right at the last minute and you could really feel the power of the engine as we headed back upwards again!
Anyway, we arrived safely and checked into the hotel, had a quick breakfast and and then I set to work 8.45pm.
At 9.00 we met Claire P, who has lived here for almost as long as we’ve lived in Barcelona and we know each other from her visits to Bcn and Cairo. A few really lovely tapas and then to bed. It feels great to be down south again! Last time was last Feb when I was assessing in Malaga. It’s just so different to Barcelona - architecture, clothes, music, to name a few... but the first thing you notice of course is the language!
