Opened the second silage pit after feeding bales for five days after finishing the first. It's a job that I didn't feel fit to do in my current condition, so I asked the boys to help. Actually I had done a quite a lot a week ago, but decided to delay it as the lighter baled silage felt tempting, being lighter to handle in the shed.

Rain and sleet, according to forecast about 7 mm, but it didn't look too bad. Little did I know...
