Gang of Four

Last weekend I had been catching up with a friend from university days. I amongst the chat we recalled our mutual love of the music of the late 1970s/1980s. It was on the back of that that I dusted down my Gang of Four records. The first album, Entertainment was a particular favourite. Was sad, therefore to hear of the untimely death of their guitarist Andy Gill yesterday. At the time his sound was almost unique. Not a sound for everyone (Mrs M would hate it) but I love it and it still sounds fresh to this day.

A and I went to see David Copperfield this afternoon. Excellent, unusual take on Dickens but I think he would have loved it.
