Sally Mair - Loving life

EB daffs

I love daffodils and as I hoped, the bunch I bought the other day is going to open before I leave.
Sunday today so church followed by our monthly fellowship lunch. We had an interesting interlude at church when nobody reminded the congregation not to sing the second verse of the hymn - which meant that he cour and the congregation were singing different words for 3 verses and the choir finished a verse before the rest of us did! A few of us, on both sides so to speak, realised what had happened and had difficulty not giggling out loud. Most did not notice!
Our Rector elect and his wife came to the lunch afterwards which was nice as it gave them, and the congregation, the chance to meet informally before his institution in a couple of weeks.
This afternoon I repacked my case in an attempt to cut down the weight a bit... Failed! It's within limits but I'm sure I don't need all I have packed.
Ali, Stuart and Marvin came over for an hour or so and Jon brought the girls too, so we had a lovely busy afternoon.
Up early tomorrow to phone the dentist and try to get an emergency appointment, I think I've a good case.
