Nanou in Anjou

By nanou

This is the entrance of an old kiln, called inverted Chinese kiln, still active in one of the four remaining brickyards in the village. Here is the whole kiln. I would've loved to show it lit, which is always very spectacular but today is lord's day and the brickmakers are enjoying a well-deserved rest at home with their folks. You'll have to content yourselves with the contrast of colours and textures, very representative of our local architecture.
