A BIG Storm Is Coming In & Mangoes
After our evening of no clouds last night this is only a small vignette of the 360deg view of the most fabulous storm clouds surrounding our house....the big thunder claps and lightning........we are just praying that there is no hail...our cars are out there naked.
Not only is the temp going to drop from 36 to 24 (predicted) but there are flood warnings too...jeepers.
We have just opened all the doors and windows to let the cooler breeze in to freshen the house after all the air con....its lovely....and tropical if you get my drift......might have to crack out Pina Colada or two.
The number of bats that fly over our house every night has dwindled considerably and tonight the remaining ones are all at sea with the storm (not taking their usual route but all over the place)........which leads me to the subject of the mangoes.
This year because of the decreasing number of the bats due to the fires everyone has had a bumper crop of mangoes...folk cant give them away....in fact I just got a text from a friend offering some more.....as I am looking at the ones ripening in the fruit bowl....im a bit over them..there are only so many mangoes one can eat.......plus....I have a hankering for peppermint chocolate at the moment.
