Pulse
Ma and I spent the day representing BCHC Charity at PodUK podcast festival today, which was great! Although we didn't get much in the way of dosh or sign ups (mostly due to folks not being from Birmingham and travelling here for the con), we did have lots of conversations with folks about the work the charity does, and so many people were super enthusiastic about talking with us. I think a few people hadn't quite realised the importance of NHS charities so it's great to know we changed some people's opinions. I also got to see Al, who I haven't seen since the Southampton Super Pod back in 2017, and Paul who I haven't seen for yonks either, so that was lovely too! After a quick trip back to the office to drop off all the convention stuff, we decided to go for dinner and then spent a good hour wondering around Brum realising that intending to eat in the city centre on a Saturday without a reservation was a bit of a daft move! We did manage to get a spot at Pizza Express but not before having a quick squiz at the festival of light art installations at the Bullring. This display, called Pulse, was actually a bit disorienting to walk through, as it constantly changed colours and flickered and flashed, whilst playing a loud, bassy rhythm at you.
I'm so tired now!
