Imagine the view....

Wren's London: St Dunstans in the East....

...another Sunday spend it church, well at least what used to be in church, it is now a garden for city workers to eat their lunch and contemplate what to do over the millions of pounds they have just lost, just before going for a drink at Coq d'argent. (in poor taste maybe ?......)

The church was rebuilt by Wren after being destroyed in the great fire, it was bombed during the blitz and the decision was made not to be rebuilt (no surprise given the number of churches around) in 1971 it was decided to turn the ruins into a garden.

I have blipped the gardens previously from a different angle, it is beautifully filled with plants and shrubs and is a wonderfully peaceful spot if you are in the city and fancy a quiet break, at the weekends you are likely to be the only person in there. I would very much recommend a visit if you have never been.

Apart from getting this blip, it was another day of snow avoidance (which was tricky) and football watching . I just don't so snow, but then I don't do sand either.

Hope that you have all had a good weekend
