Peterloo

This is the relatively new memorial to the Peterloo massacre, which took place near this location in Manchester in 1819.

I went to see The Lighthouse at Manchester’s HOME cinema this afternoon. It is quite unlike any other film, not for the faint-hearted but extremely well-filmed in a powerful black and white and an almost square aspect ratio. The seagulls were especially good.
