There was wall to wall blue sky this morning so we enjoyed another relaxing day by the pool with the occasional dip to keep cool. Although we did first pop up to the Pick'n'Pay supermarket to buy one of their huge cherry and cream scones to have with our afternoon cup of tea. Before I could ask the girl serving behind the counter she said another scone sir. Ahm yes please. Well we have had one every day since we've been here. They're delicious.
We all but had the pool to ourselves again and watched as the receptionist on several occasions showed new guests around the hotel.
Time floats by when lying in the sun and soon it was six o'clock and time for what we call at home Prosecco Sunday. A glass of Prosecco with some nibbles but as we are in South Africa we chose a local Robertson's Sparkling Wine. We sat on the terrace with a Yorkshire couple who were staying in our original room and with another lady who they'd come to see. They too had sparkling wine and nibbles.
The two ladies had met at school and kept in touch after her friend had emigrated to South Africa over forty years ago. The Yorkshire man was now retired after running his own small business called 'Odd Jobs' 'the not do it yourself company' as he did the DIY on behalf of his customers.
After an hour or, so chatting we went off to a little Italian restaurant to eat.
