Flood defences

Work has now started on creating a flood plain at the edge of the village on the other side of the area behind the church in the background.

Not quite sure why they have to cut down all the trees along the stream nor how far back this will go. The stream skirts the boundary of our property and I hope they don't plan to cut everything back as we need the screening. I am sure that if that was the case they would have consulted us.

We may need the flood plain quickly. Forecast is for floods next few days!
