No Entry

Went for a bit of a wander today and although I had been here before, I found it difficult finding subjects. This was compounded by walking with a non-photographer because I felt rushed and didn't want to stop for long.

Nevertheless, I liked this shot of conifer branches backlit against the bright field of snow and sky. The mass of chaotic dark lines makes for a claustrophobic feeling enhanced by the leaning trunks. Quite a dark image really, but the mood of the day was hopeful, so instead I'm inclined to see it as searching for a way through to the light.
