Balmoral Hotel

I recently watched a very interesting documentary about the history of this Edinburgh hotel. Apparently that clock is set three minutes fast throughout the year except at midnight on Hogmanay. In the foreground is part of the glass roof of Waverley Station.

What a beautiful day for my lunch date in the capital with Cousin Alison. So different from yesterday - sunshine and blue sky! We had a good catch-up in Urban Angel, which was surprisingly quiet today.

Extra   -  the design of the priority seating in Scotrail's new express trains makes it very clear who the seats are meant for. I love the various figures :-)
