Seven cookies

An old custom from the end of the 19th century says that  seven kinds of cookies are the smallest number of cookies that should be served when drinking coffee at funerals and weddings. In addition to any wheat bread, cake or soft cake. 
Nowadays, this is hardly something to think about. But one of our favorite cafes in town has a platter with seven cookies, which you can buy to your coffee. They are very small, like cookies on a party with dolls.
