Grange Over Sands
Tuesday 4th February 2020
I started with a little tickle in my throat last night and feeling a bit shivery, I woke this morning with no voice and feeling a bit rough. Typical! I wasn't going to let it beat me though so I went out as planned to climb the hill in Grange, with the hope of a view. It was steeper than I thought! I made it two thirds of the way but I had chosen the wrong jacket to wear and I was far too hot. I also thought it perhaps unlikely that the group would want to tackle the hill and distance.
I turned back and then climbed the small hill in the woods as I had been advised that there was a good view from the top, There may be a difference of opinion here. Yes, there was a small opening in the trees with a nice view but not great for photography.
I went back to the hotel to change jackets and then walked along the promenade, managing to bump into someone from our school governing body, there's just no escape. Although it was a nice walk, like last time I am concerned at the lack of real photo opportunities here for a three day workshop. Typical, I was out doing photos with my camera and the one I have chosen was taken on the phone!
By mid afternoon I was struggling so returned to the hotel. It wasn't long before I decided to go to bed properly before the evening meal.
