Not quite sure if I managed it but I think this is a reef knot. Today at work I was in a class preparing the pupils for a sailing trip later on in the year. A few weeks ago they were learning knots and I was delighted as Id never been able to do one before. I last tried when I was in the guides right enough which was many moons ago. I had been away to blip the knot but by the time Id got home I'd forgotten it. I didn't have any rope to use as an example so settled for the scarf :)
