The sky was so clear at 01.00 this morning I couldn't resist a blip!  We usually think of the 'Man in the Moon', but looking at some Moon websites I find that other cultures think of it otherwise.  The one that attracted me most was the 'Toad in the Moon' referred by the Selish tribe of American Native Indians.They tell the story of how the little Wolf, being desperately in love with the Toad, went a-wooing one night and prayed that the Moon might shine brightly for him.  His prayer was granted, and by the clear light of a full Moon he was pursuing the Toad, and had nearly caught her, when, as a last chance of escape, she made a desperate spring on to the face of the Moon, where she remains to this day.  You can read about it here.
