Out with the Old, In with the New

Dear Diary,

Mike and his helper did a great job removing the old steel roof and replacing it with a lovely, shiny new one. The roof planking was in great shape, that was a relief. It was hard to watch them scampering around way up there but they were like two monkeys.  Stage two will occur in September when they come back to re-roof the front of the main house in steel.  It has asphalt shingles now which, although not leaking, are in pretty rough shape.  It was so nice not to have to cover everything in plastic last night!
