Autumn Detritus

The sky was looking like it was going to be a good one when I got up.
By the time I was dressed and out with PD it has completely clouded over - See!
After yesterday's lovely spring day it was more late autumn with rotting wood and bare trees.
 
There is another young oak tree the Council planted a few years ago which has drowned (can you see the fish in the corner?) 
When are they going to learn that the ground is just not suitable to anything but marsh plants and reeds?
