Grandad

Couple of days not blipping, due to attending my Grandad's funeral on Friday.

My Grandy passed away on Christmas Day, but unfortunately we were only able to hold his funeral this week, so it's been a long, hard almost 4 weeks waiting for the closure.

When I was 5 I laid claim to Grandy's pewter tankard, that he always drank his evening pint from... I am lucky that I had to wait another 25 years before I could bring it home with me, privileged to have had my Grandad for so long. I miss him terribly, but now is the time to smile, remember and live my life as he'd have wanted me to.

Here is his tankard and Order of Service pictured along with the full collection of encyclopaedias he collected during the 50s and passed on to me, as I have a love of history and old books.
