Take Off

On the Sculpture Trail today covering quite  a lot of miles across the City.  I am discovering that Birmingham has a lot of sculpture associated with pubs, transport hubs and religious buildings, and a lot of reliefs rather than free standing statues.  Interesting.  This one in this shot is at the Airport which is actually just outside the city boundary into Solihull but it always comes on the Birmingham listings.  It's one of those that it is difficult to look at properly because it is on a roundabout which is very difficult to access because of the amount of traffic.  I liked the colours in this shot and the proximity of the airport tower, the trees and the Take off sculpture.

Visiting a different city tomorrow to visit a friend.  Looking forward to it.
