Antigua

It’s been a long day but we are now at our hotel in the Caribbean. I would have preferred being back at our favourite resort, but that wasn’t available and we had to opt for a more modern but soulless alternative.

This is a view of the beach with Fort Barrington on the hill, which we will investigate tomorrow, and at least there’s somewhere to walk to. The temperature over the next ten days is 28 deg C, so a pleasant change and one which we will take advantage of.

The extra is of one of the cruise ships leaving harbour as we’re enjoying an aperitif. I’d rather be on dry land.
