Grateful

In 1996 I spent two days on the side of the road on Interstate 5 because the highway was underwater. The local airport was closed as there was a few inches of water on the runway. And...

2020 we are breaking rainfall records again but I am grateful the city spent 2 years dredging the Cedar River and although in the main photo you can't see the trail on either side the river is just really high. In the extra you see the river by the airport. It is nearing the top, but isn't expected to flood.

So far 17 rivers are over flood stage, I can't go east from the house as the three main roads are underwater. Multiple highways (including main ones) are underwater and the rivers keep rising.. They say Sunday should be a dry day. Oh 3 inches of water are under the house too. A sump pump repair guy is coming over tomorrow.. 

Headed north tomorrow. Going to be q 14 hour day..
