Mahonia & Acer
Oregon Grape (Mahonia aquifolium) is Oregon's State Flower. Aquifolium is a tall woody evergreen shrub with distinctive holly-like leaves. It has yellow flowers an later, small dark blue, berries that are the "grapes" appear that give this plant its name. The Acer is the brown maple leaf that landed into the center of these flowers.
Jeff is still recovering from the stomach bug and remains in bed, and I remain well. I hope he will feel much better tomorrow, and that I still feel well.
