Bouncy bridges

Discovered that the wisp loop track I had come to do was shut on account of ‘forestry harvesting’ so it was the Caitlins river track instead. Really just 7hrs of walking along a river and back which, apart from the bridges, had no interesting features what so ever. It was a strangely silent world with no sound of bird song amongst the trees, very noticeable in its absence. Now, if I were the sort of person given to strange fancies I might have been imagining some dark force had settled in the depths of the forest and the birds, sensing the evil emanating from it, had fled to find some more benign feeling accommodation. Most likely just those pesky rats and stoats.
Evening drive along the coast to find the wind and have found a beautiful campsite right on the head land of Curio Bay, very breezy indeed!
