Blackthorn blossom

Always love it when the blackthorn begins flowering.  Then you know you're on your way.  This was growing up the hill under a couple of larger trees and I'm assuming that's why it looks a bit aberrant (where are the thorns?)

And look at the blue sky behind it!  That lasted until late morning, but as I spent all afternoon in a coffee shop gossiping with a friend, I didn't mind it clouding over.
