Hit and run

This is not my car. The other day I saw a police officer down the street from the house. She was talking to someone. I didn't think anything of it and went inside.

The doorbell rang. It was the officer. She asked us if we'd noticed that car. Apparently someone hit it and ran. It'd been sitting there for a while, possibly abandoned.
