The Inversion

There was I, driving along at sunrise  this morning,   looking forward to a lovely pink sky and a flat calm lake. But, turned the corner round Gummers How and was faced with this. An inversion over Windermere, caused by the air on the lake being colder than the air above. The lake is about 200m down the hill from here.  The extra is a shot from the middle of the lake to show we had a good time regardless. Lake temperature 5.7°C. Just a 500m swim today- nothing much to see, other than a yellow buoy.
