Fin Fest

Once a year a pub near Chancery Lane is host to a gathering of former Tornado crews, air and ground.  I'm not that keen on large gatherings, with the noise and the complete ignorance of many people whom I knew as youngsters up to 40 years before, but here is a smaller gathering: former pilots of Jaguars (three including me) Buccaneers (one) and a navigator.  Our common ground is the Tornado which we flew for many years at about the same time.

Two in the photo have decorations from the first Gulf War, in 1991; all of us are almost completely retired, but it was good to gather for a few hours, drink way too much (expensive) wine and to chew the fat.

This was in the Natural Kitchen in New Square near Chancery Lane, a pretty decent restaurant.
