St. Wilfred's Church - Ribchester
The Ribble Valley - in Lancashire - has a lot of history and a wonderfully rich heritage. Ribchester village underlines that fact. It was a Roman cavalry fort in AD 72.
It also has a rather beautiful 13th Century, Grade 1 listed church - St. Wilfred's.
The sun was shining and we had a most pleasant walk around the churchyard before going inside.
My Blip is of the Hoghton Quire - probably 16th century - which is enclosed by an oak screen. The sunlight from the window helped the Blip :-)
