St Andrews Church Mells
Spent a rather fresh afternoon in Mells - I was hoping to find some daffodils - Mells is famous for its Daffodil Festival - held each year on Easter Monday - they are not quite ready yet - some years they come really early and are almost over by the time of the Festival
I have added a collage showing some of the points of interest in the village
- Church is St Andrews containing bronze statue of horse and rider the rider is Edward Horner who was killed in WWI - son of the owner of Mells Manor
- There is a famous nursery rhyme connected to Mells "Little Jack Horner"
- Lock Up and Tithe Barn
- Pretty spot by the stream
- The Village shop/Cafe
Hope you enjoy this little glimpse of Mells
