Who knew blipfoto would be so illuminating!! Thanks to @Debsdad for the advice that my gate was braced wrongly ... told the gardeners today and sheepishly they blamed the Wicks instructions but put it right. So thank you - felt very empowered telling em it was the wrong way round!!
