The Fisherman

We have watched this man fishing during our visits to see Rosi and Nazir at Beach House. The net is circular with weights around the circumference. A rope goes round the bottom to the centre and acts as a purse string as the net is slowly pulled in.
The goldsmith makes nets like this and Mr WS bought one a few years ago. He wanted to drop it off the boat onto the grey mullet in the marina. It is very difficult to throw properly but after a lot of practice he decided to give it a try. There were no grey mullet in the marina !
The fisherman threw his net to form a graceful circle on the water . ....many years practice methinks! He did catch a few small fish in the lagoon
