Dad's Chair

This is the chair where Dad spent so much of his time in recent years. He watched TV - golf and Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune - and greeted guests with a hearty hello and big smile. He took most of his meals here the last year or so, talked on the phone, napped.

It was difficult walking into the house and seeing him replaced by a snuggly teddy bear. A poignant moment that broke open my heart.

We celebrated his life today, shared stories, sang songs, laughed and cried. It was a lovely day.
