Lesser Goldfinch

I wonder how the bird feels about being called "lesser?" There are many birds with the first name "lesser." Julie always gives me a bad time when I identify one as a "lesser" - so and so....

This one gave me an opportunity for a close-up. Note the detail in the feathers. He's quite a handsome lad who is losing his winter plumage and getting "dressed-up" for spring.
