Bodmin Moor

A stupidly early start again. We disgorged the 3 teams at Minions then dropped vehicles to the Rising Sun a tonight’s campsite. 2 of us were dropped off at Sharp Tor and we legged it up to catch up with one of the 35 teams.

It was a stunning morning although by the time we stopped for lunch, the wind had picked up and the 3 adults were very grateful for the storm shelter!

At the A30 I was pulled off to wait an hour for the 2nd 35 team as one of their adults had pulled off. It was agony getting back out of the car but worth it for a slice of heavy cake! We made it back to the campsite around 5, pitched tents and once all teams were safely back, adjourned to the pub for our well deserved tea.

In bed by 10, fingers crossed we make it through the night!
