SCARY WINDS

OK - so far we've had it easy compared to the UK - but a force 7 in a city with all  its tall buildings produces unpredictable squally gusts which can blow away an old fart.

At the age of 20 in the Merchant Navy, a force 12 typhoon in the "Pacific" ocean was a thrill - at 79 its just scary.

Took this on Avenue Anspach cowering behind a large pillar, gripping my shopping between my knees - there was much airborne trash - it's a pity you can't hear it!

Made it back home intact to watch France beat Italy in the Six Nations Rugby.

Scottish salmon for supper...
