Where has Tweed Island gone?

There are impressive amounts of flood water everywhere and in some places the small bridges look as if they will become overwhelmed by the water. 

Some people in Peebles get very excited about Tweed Island (in my main picture) and think it should be wiped from the face of the universe.  Personally I quite like it.
