Look what the wind blew in

I was looking out of the kitchen window when this bird came tumbling through waving branches and bushes landing on the ground. I thought that it must have damaged it's wings as it got a fair old battering. It sat and checked everything out and caught its breath. I had time to go upstairs to get the camera and come back down again. It's not the best of shots as the window was wet from the rain, but better than nothing. After about 5 + minutes it lifted off and soared into the air......beautiful.

I think that it is a sparrow hawk, but if anyone knows better please tell me. 

R called in by with a friend, both soaked from the torrential rain. Spare clothes were found and their clothes were put in the drier. 

There has been some damage and flooding in the Lincoln area, but in the village the only damage is to the odd fence panel.
