snow as far as the eye can see!
more snow overnight. those folks that clear driveways as soon as the snow stops (why bother), youve got your work cut out again.
we had breakfast, and then i wandered out to do a bit of shopping and take it to Aunty Jeans....it's nearly 3 weeks since she stepped outside! called for a coffee at mums, with Li, and then off for a long long walk with Pete. Bro had set off back home to the IOM and made good time to Birkinhead.
on our walk, i retraced an old walk we used to do as kids. Back through Watnall Woods, and then up onto the Cliff. loads of people out sledging down there, lots of laughter. on the top of the cliff there is the old private cemetery for the Rollaston family. all hedged in, and gates locked, all overgrown and covered in snow.
this picture is taken as i walked back down the Cliff towards home. Eastwood church in the middle, and Heanor Church to the left on the horizon. even beyond i could make out Crich still in the distance. a fabulous view.
walk must've been about 4 miles. we were out above 2 1/2 hours, and had a well deserved rum coffee on return.
Pete slept....snored his head off in front of the fire i made for him to enjoy!
dinner done, and a lazy evening in front of the tele. more snow started as i went up to bed, tomorrow will be a long Monday!
