Stormy weather

Was kept awake most of the night by the wild winds and lashing rain.  This was the messy part of the garden (actually most of it is messy at the moment!) flooding this morning, and by lunchtime half the lawn was a lake.  I had to go up into the spider haven (the loft) this afternoon to put towels round the chimney breast as water was dripping through the bedroom ceiling!  Nothing compares to what some people in the area are suffering though - thoughts go out to all those caught up in the flooding.
