2020 Saturday — Feeling “eh”
Top photo is from our front windows about 1:30; middle photo is Tidelands Park about 4:20; bottom photo is from the Inn at Morro Bay about 5:00.
After spending a large portion of this day in our jammies — Mr.Fun has a 2-day old sinus/head cold and is not perky — we got showered and dressed and then drove to the health food store in Morro Bay to get us both a double-shot of wheatgrass, which tastes fairly yucky, but is so good for us.
Then we drove a bit further to Tidelands Park to walk the 3 pups for a short distance. A cold breeze made it less than comfortable, so we did not stay out in the air for very long. Once we put the critters back in the car, Mr. Fun suggested we drive to the Inn at Morro Bay for a Happy Hour early dinner. I was delighted.
The Inn is just around the corner and down the shoreline from Tidelands Park and has a restaurant/lounge with a spectacular view of the back bay. They serve delicious food. If someone needed a place to stay, the Inn has 96 guest rooms and a heated swimming pool.
So we ordered one appetizer (half price during Happy Hour) and two beverages and watched the sun go down. For dinner I ordered fish & chips and Mr. Fun order two of the half price hors d'oeuvre, coconut crusted shrimp and flatbread. We divided everything to share a delicious meal and left feeling stuffed! We stopped at the grocery store on our way back to the house so we would have the necessary ingredients to make breakfast.
At the house we put the groceries away, I fed the pups, and then we watched “Bucket List” for at least our second time is not more. It’s such a good movie.
Good night from Cayucos
