Mrs Evil Goat

Our kitchen ceiling was dripping water this morning which raised our stress levels. It turned out to be something fairly simple (rubbish ill fitting over flowing gutters full of frozen sludge) and Mr EG cleared out the ice and drilled a hole but still means repainting indoors and replacing gutters outdoors once the snow has cleared. It feels like we take two steps forward and one back with this house. The to-do list just keeps growing!

Tobes has a horrible cold and as the wind was picking up I didn't fancy taking Eva out in it either so I didn't even make it out of the house today, which doesn't feel good. Mr EG braved the roads to feed the horses late afternoon and then we tried to save the day with a yummy roast dinner.

Eva was unsettled again this evening - I finally got her down about midnight after trying since 8pm. She just seems to want to sleep skin to skin and the minute I move her she wakes up, which is lovely to have the cuddle time but a bit exhausting.

So I didn't take many photos today and intended to get the camera out again after the wee ones were in bed. I love the concentration on Toby's face as he did some colouring after dinner though. He was very methodical making sure there was a bit of each colour on every page and replacing the right caps on the right pens afterwards.
