Putting her face on
Woke to a much nicer morning weather-wise than we expected given the storm warnings. My window boxes were rather flooded but the sky was blue and we were tempted out after all. Very windy, and the Water of Leith was a torrent, but we enjoyed a wander around Stockbridge and had a good breakfast in Cowans before exploring the charity shops and A got a jacket. We seemed to be in shops each time the rain came, then headed up to town for her to get some more make-up (after all she gets through it fast!) and as we walked back to the car she spotted a wedding shop so we popped in to look at dresses. Lovely feeling to be reassured there’s nothing as nice as the one she’s already got, but she still enjoys trying them on!
Home to dye her hair (didn’t go the pink she wanted....we’ll have to do that again!) then I did some work whilst she pootled around and I made us a roast dinner. She’s started watching old Silent Wirness programmes so we watched those all evening whilst I knitted. Relaxing day.
