An early one.

This is always our first Rhododendron to come into bloom.

It is Rhododendron praecox. A small variety which is about 3 feet tall.

This particular one has a long history. It started out in the 1970s in Mrs.K’s mother’s wonderful garden in the Isle of Wight. It then found its way up to Arnside about 25 years ago. Wouldn’t like to lose it.
