Frontispiece to Lorna's collected poems

Lorna collected 48 of her juvenile poems into a book as a present for one of her uncles. From the poems that are dated, we think that she did this in 1931 when she was 17. Some of the poetry that we have already posted in this Blipfoto journal comes from this volume. We will be posting some more in future gaps between the war diary entries.

We cannot tell which Uncle Percy was the lucky recipient of the book: Lorna had two! It would either have been her father's brother, or her father's sister Beatrice's husband.
