Inner peace

For today's MonoMonday theme of 'looking in' with thanks to 60plus for taking over hosting in February.

This small porcelain statue belonged to my grandmother, it depicts Guan Yin, the goddess of mercy, and shows her serene smile, the look of inner peace , possibly the result of lots of mindfulness, meditation and looking inside one's soul. BTW, the overall idea is that Guan Yin is a female interpretation of Avalokiteshvara, a prominent bodhisattva in Buddhism.
