Long drive

Finally boated the ferry just after 11 last night and we left 90 minutes later than originally scheduled. Took a wee while before the cabins were ready so a wee late night drink in the bar it was!

Think we managed between 3 and 4 hours sleep despite the very rocky crossing - huge kudos to the crew who must have been under a lot of pressure.

The ship kept to UK time and we were woken at 6 and off the ship at 7 but as we were in France it was 8am French time.

We made reasonable time but hit a lot if roll roads which were considerably more expensive due to the size of the van!

Arrived in site 30 minutes to the east of Limoges - lovely owner who was very chatty. Set up the van and I took a wander into the nearby village to see what was what. It was a little blowy but I found an old railway path so managed to clock up my planned mileage for the day before heading back to rustle up a corned beef hash for dinner.
