Travel Woes

First, thank you so much to everyone for the lovely comments and hearts for my blip yesterday.

We had a stunning visit to the President's Palace this afternoon. Wonderful opulence and craftsmanship with some very interesting decorations and artefacts. This was followed by a fantastic light show on the front of the Palace.

Back at our hotel for a meal, change and to set off for the airport, we received the news that our flight out scheduled for 01:20 was delayed. BA didn't know by how much or when we would actually be leaving. At the airport, we had further news that the flight was 'estimated' to take off at 9.30 in the morning! We were offered seats on an Etihad plane but not where we would have sat had it been BA . Not happy!!

Etihad take off is also delayed from 02.40 to 03:15 and it looks like there may be an issue with hand luggage, when I might have a problem as my hand luggage is packed for BA rules not the 7kg Etihad allowance.
Travel can be challenging and stressful at times.
