exotic mushrooms

From Rotherham, Yorkshire, of all places !
The blip is from the farm shop at the Welbeck Estate, somewhere that had been recommended but was previously unknown to us. A gem of a place just 40 minutes by car near Worksop. The Harley Gallery and Portland Collection are amazing and housed in beautiful buildings only beaten by the cafe !! We will be returning in August when the big house opens its grand state rooms for guided tours. Not to be missed as the residence is privately owned and not usually accessible, in fact it is not even visible from any public place or any of the 3 marked walks on the estate.
On the way home it started snowing quite heavily and suddenly it seemed that every road home had problems and queues. Every detour I took encountered another problem. The 40 minute journey took 1:40h and really the roads weren't that bad. The snowy photo in extra is from the hill that leads down to our village, by then the snow had stopped and it was getting brighter again.
